Some of the tadokists were talking about the book,
and I was tryting to draw my first manga for my blog
when I heard from TV an old famous actor insist how great The Pillars of The Earth was.
The actor was well known as a bookworm,
and he started to read Ken Follet’s The Pillars of the Earth.
He found it so exciting and interesting.
But before he finished it, he had to fly to UK on business.
He could not decide whether he should bring the book with him or not.
His wife said to him reluctantly, “It is silly to bring such a thick and heavy book for your business trip!” and he left the book at home.
All tadokists can imagine what would have happened to him.
Yes. He could not help thingking about how the story would go on, then he bought another copy at the airport and had a happy flight.
However, his work at the time was not dued only in UK, he had to move to Germany then back to UK again.
You’re right. He wondered again if he should bring the second book with him to Germany or not.
He leff it at his hotel.
Of course, he could not be patient for his work finished and back to the book of his love.
So…. he bought another copy at the bookstore in Germany.
Fortunately( Unfortunately?) he was able to read German too.
He was satisfied with himself by finishing the story during the trip.
On the TV program, he showed his favorite three books and smiled.
He looked so happy.
Oh, how I laughed and felt happy about his story…!
And I am really sorry for that he passed away so suddenly.
