Oh, good grief, is it really a word from a daughter of a carpenter?

Hey! Wait! Where're you going?

You must be in this room, naughty!

Oh, My God!!

What the hell....

Uh-oh. I hear Madam Malone is back now. You're gonna be in BIG troule!

But don’t worry about ranking too much, the contest is for learning foreign languages, whatever it is, through enjoying reading, I believe.

How’s everything with you, Mr Granger?

Posted on

On twitter @readable asked
Q257) Do you have anything that’s autographed (signed) by a famous person. #rqotd

I replied YES,
and I was going to write about one of them.
but…
Oh, no, I can’t find his autograph in my room.
Also, I read another book of his, which I borrowed from Mr Sakai,
but it is too old to find and attach its Amazon link here..
Ah…

This is a writer and a teacher who gave me his autograph at JALT(the Japan Association for Language Teaching) international conference in Kobe. (When was it? 20years ago?…Wow)
Colin Granger
Colin was one of the most popular speakers at the conference.
He was younger, of course, and cool and kind, and his talk was really good.
I happened to help him with getting ready for his lecture, and after the conference Colin wrote and thanked me!

I read his “Dancing Shoes” today.
Well, I think his talk is far more interesting.
His lecture about reading is still in my audio tape, and I can listen to it as long as I have a tape-recorder. (I could not throw it away. I can’t be a real Dansharian.

I’m afraid the tape will have a same future as my floppy disk, which I can’t play back anymore…

while shadowing/listening

Lately I’ve been not so fine,
I mean, my energy for everythihg can easily go away from me.

I think I should do some exercies for my junk body.
OK. I started to walk every day.
Since last week I walk to the supermarket.
Then things happened.

Once, I drove to the supermarket, because I had to hurry to prepare dinner for my family, who suddenly texted to me they would be back sooner than I expected. After the shopping, I almost walked home. At the gate of the Parking Lot, I remembered my car was there!

While walking, I listen to some songs or story by iPod.
Sometimes I concentrate on the story too much, and yesterday I took a wrong street.
It was dark and nobody there…so scary.
Well, this kind of things is not that strange, or rather, I should say it is an ordinary experience for any tadokist.

On the dark road, where I saw no one around me, I tried shadowing. Then all of a sudden, I realized what the 劇薬shadowing means or the goal of it, which Mr Sakai has suggested to some English learners.

And some other things in my mind (while shadowing and listening)
1 blog idea
2 twitter idea

Hmmmm, it was not listening or shadowing at all, maybe.
The story was kind of BGM for me?

no time to read…?

Partly because ….

We had such a pleasant time at a cafe in Tokyo.
Well, pleasant only for us, might be noisy for other people there.
We talked, talked, talked, talked and talked MORE. Sorry, we are a siren group!

At Maruzen, I found another Oliver Jeff’s work. I love his drawing…
